Plastic surgeon Dr. Platt is well known among her patients and colleagues as being considerate, patient and knowledgeable. She will listen to and address all of your questions and concerns during each appointment. Dr. Platt will work with you to incorporate your goals and establish realistic expectations.
Dr. Platt is a member of the Department of Surgery at Humber River Hospital. She went to medical school at the University of Ottawa, and during this time she won the gold medal for her 1st year medical class and was student council president in her final year. She graduated from the prestigious University of Toronto residency training program in plastic surgery. During her training she obtained a Masters of Science degree in Clinical Epidemiology, and she is a recognized expert in the study of clinical outcomes and patterns of care in plastic surgery. She completed a fellowship in hand, wrist and peripheral nerve surgery at the Hand and Upper Limb Centre at Western University.
She has published over 20 peer-reviewed publications, and won several grants and awards from national and international bodies to recognize her expertise.
